Description

'Rose' was originally commissioned for both racing & cruising, combining the best timber and construction techniques, ensuring a stand-out at any Timber Boat Festival.... She's been a feature of three to date! Costing in excess of $220,000 to built in 2009 she certainly achieved that goal. Her builder, Jeremy Clowes purchased her back from the original owner in 2015 and sailed her to her current home in Port Cygnet on the Huon River, south of Hobart. Jeremy has cruised her extensively on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel and has undertaken family cruises to far afield Port Davey during school holidays. Whilst not cruising, she's a regular competitor in twilight events and the famous Port Cygnet Regatta run by the Port Cygnet Sailing Club.
'Rose' has been designed as the ideal family yacht for those who love the beauty and character of classic timber boats combined with the ability to race in Couta Boat events or simply stooge up rivers (owing to her shallow draft) discovering new waterways with your family on lazy weekends or school holidays. "Rose' is measured and registered by the Couta Boat Association.
